Work we did throughout week 1-3 from our 3 places and emotive qualities to layouts of brochure. Brainstorming stage

My 1st collages I did for my subject matter. when doing this I didnt have a clear path in how I was going to show my things but throughout the weeks it all worked out

In one of the classes we did a drawing exercise which was is shown here.

When i first started my collages I had this layout after looking at a past students work that influenced me into doing my look of the brochure like theres. throughout time I developed my work way more and more better then what I had wanted in my head.

Ive chosen Herb Lubalin because of his work with typography.
Theres more information Ive put in my workbook so Ive just showed some of his work. Thats the reason why I find him interesting.

For my brochure I was researching visuals and how I would like my brochure to look. The thought of having Typography with photography in the background is what I like so I will explore more into this and find artist models to back it up.

Subject Matter photos

So my subject matter is going to be based on nightclubs in the city. The 3 places I am going to be basing my work on is The Apartment, Hotel Bristol & Siglo. Im still contemplating if Siglo will be my final destination as it might be similar to The Apartment. Ive chosen Bristol because of its area and how old the place looks also the feelings that go into it compared to The Apartment where it gets more busier and more up tempo. Siglo as it is a new place is up and coming but could turn out to be similar to The Apartment in the near future.

Week 2 Class 3 & 4

After being absent from the 2nd class I was able to get help from another student to see what we had to do for class. We did alot of exercises that contained alot of short second drawins with both hands with either our object we were suppose to bring or an item that represented your area. I ended up using my object for some of my drawings aswell as an item that represented my subject matter which was a Dj turntable as one is uses in nightclubs all around for music.

1st Class

1st Colab work with other students in the class. Brainstorming ideas that has to do with; Sports & recreation, Arts & culture and Food & drink. Just some of the ideas we put together
